 Sr. Data Analyst

The Sr. Data Analyst will be the primary internal customer point of contact for all questions and requests related to field and production data. The Sr. Data Analyst must have a strong knowledge of relational (SQL, Microsoft Access) databases. This position will provide support primarily to the Engineering Technical Team, but will also include secondary support functions for the Corporate Planning Department, Accounting and Operations teams in database design, data flow and analysis.

The Sr. Data Analyst have the following roles & responsibilities:

  • Support engineering team and perform analysis of well and reservoir data to evaluate detailed and overall performance for respective fields
  • Acquire, store, and maintain data integrity in computer databases, extract data and prepare reports upon request
  • Provide related support to other departments such as Geology and Operations
  • Perform engineering support in field data collection such as well logging, well stimulation and general field data collection, trending and reporting
  • Read well activity reports and record key well information in drilling activity
  • Assemble and distribute prepared charts, maps and reports to technical team based on requested material
  • Maintain file records systems and geological library
  • Compile information on daily well activity per technical teams’ requests
  • Troubleshoot and configure technical and operations data for Management Team
  • Integrate data bulk loads into production, reserves and geological systems for projects for new integration, updates, migrations, inbound & outbound data flow with other systems
  • Partner with IT and non-IT groups in the resolution of data related issues
  • Ensure the data is in compliance with defined data standards
  • Assist in promoting effective use of standard data management tools and processes
  • Support Corporate Planning department occasionally with asset evaluations and database creation for technical and economic assessments for future opportunities
  • Support Accounting department occasionally with lease ownership and allocation measurements for production data storage and systems integration and distribution to ensure completeness of monthly production data and revenue close
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes for data storage, integration, and reporting and proactively recommend improvements
  • Design, document and implement the processes for integrating data between the Company’s various production, engineering and accounting software systems (OsiPi, FieldVision, Enertia, OFM, ARIES).
  • Assist the CFO and Corporate Planner in researching and designing improved financial and operation dashboards to communicate operating results to supervisors, managers, and executives
  • Assist in integrating production, accounting, and other relevant data upon new property acquisitions
  • Query production data and provide ad hoc trend reporting as requested by management

This position will work collaboratively with the Engineering Technical Team, Accounting Team and Corporate Planner and will report to the Thermal Asset Manager.
