Financial Analyst – healthcare
Create ad-hoc business intelligence reports for the user community, where appropriate and under the direction and review of Supervisor.
Create and generate business intelligence reports as directed by Supervisor
Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
Create, summarize, analyze and reconcile Encounter and Clinical data for strategic analysis
Identify drivers of medical costs and make recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer for the reduction of healthcare costs
Work collaboratively with Finance and Business Unit Managers in developing Cost/Benefit Analysis
Produce Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Variance Analysis Reports and Trend Analysis Reports for presentation to Executive Management
Receive, validate, clarify, and prioritize reporting requests from Supervisor.
Manage relationship and expectations of Finance department and Operational personnel through communication, priority setting and negotiation as needed.
Gather requirements, define, document and analyze business needs under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer and MIS Analyst team.
Work with functional team(s) to analyze “as-is” and “to-be” business processes.
Identify and track functional issues, driving toward resolution with appropriate business leaders and escalating, as needed, to Supervisor.
Participate in development of test plans, testing, training, deployment and support of new development or business system processes.
Participate in developing information and data models, leading to creation or enhancement of data mart, or other data repository, to support business needs.
Occasional travel (up to 10%) to other sites or training facilities within the continental United States may be required, based on specific project assignment and business needs.
Complete Culture and Linguistics Training annually
Complete all in-service Annually
Complete all Safety, HIPAA and QM training as required by HR
Bachelors of Science or better.
Experience with documentation and problem resolution
Experience with systems analysis and functional design
1-2 years: experience with Healthcare applications preferred
2-3 years: experience with Microsoft Excel (Intermediate Skill Level – including Pivot Table creation and use of Analytical Tools)
2-3 years: 2 – 3 years of experience using Report Writing Tools, such as Crystal Reports
Salary exempt $70-80,000 – M-F 8-5
